Wyne Veen is a Dutch photographer and she is extremely good at composing photographs. From the moment the classic painted hand of doom beckons you into her website, you know you are in for something new.

I was never real attached to the Bunyan character - a giant ax-wielding Minnesotan of titanic strength (though I was hip to Babe, the blue ox). I do remember thinking the coloration was cool. I know now it is the work of Eyvind Earle who also worked on Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty. So, his ideas about color were likely imprinted on your brain in the years of wee consciousness. Lucky you.
