The Quilts of Gee’s Bend created by some 45 Alabama artists, African-American women from a rural community in the Black Belt.

i try not to advocate consumption on this blog, and I am certainly not bidding on any of these items, but i do really admire the lot.

wow. Circa 1995 (!) this would make me lol just every day. And yet as I type this, I keep whispering to myself who’s bad ??

I would put these with the sneaks from the last post and not think twice about it (don’t think twice, i won’t think twice, hoo!)

go on! look at the rest. this particular brand of bad doesn’t come along every day.

Elsa Mora is hard at work! She is probably best known for her detailed paper cuts, but I really enjoyed the execution and arrangement of her porcelain work below.
